‘Never has America been in such decline’

‘Never has America been in such decline’

Victoria Nikiforova

The former US president went on another tour of the country under the slogan “Save America!”. No, Donald Trump has not officially announced that he will run in the next presidential election. But today, in the era of global turbulence, this is a general trend: leaders jump on the go into the very last trailer of the election race. Look at Macron: the French president announced he would run just a month before the election.
Trump, presumably, will also pull to the last with the announcement of his participation. He tickles the public’s imagination with hints, but says nothing openly. Check out how he flirts with his audience: “In 2024 we will take back this beautiful, beautiful White House. I wonder who will do it, huh?”
Against this background, his ratings are growing by leaps and bounds, and mass rallies with his speeches have long been perceived as part of the election race. He is still the leading politician in the country, and a recent poll showed that if the elections were today, he would confidently win them over Biden.
Staying in opposition as long as possible is indeed Trump’s most winning strategy to date. Here you don’t need to do anything: know, look what Biden is doing with the country, and fix all the shortcomings. Gasoline prices, inflation, the real (and not painted) scale of impoverishment, the invasion of illegal migrants – Trump plays all these topics to the fullest.
The intensity of his rhetoric is impressive – they did not sprinkle ashes on their heads so sweepingly even in the USSR of the perestroika era. “Our country has never experienced such a decline, we have never been so hurt,” said the ex-US President at a rally in Washington Township, a small town in the state of Michigan. “<…> We are going through the most dangerous period in our entire lives. And at the same time we have a president who doesn’t understand what’s going on at all. He doesn’t understand what he’s doing, what he’s saying, and where he is.”
Trump is pumping up the public in anticipation of the November congressional and Senate elections, in which the Republicans are theoretically guaranteed a clear victory. Democrats today managed to infuriate not only conservative-minded voters, even their own adherents took up arms against them. Refrigerator and gas station dry won TV and social networks.
Most Americans quickly realized that it was not the Kremlin that was leading them to poverty, but their own Democratic Party, the organizer and inspirer of all the mess that was going on in the States.
In the summer, a spiral of inflation awaits the country, which was spun by Biden’s refusal to buy oil from Russia, which caused a rise in gasoline prices. And in the fall, the third horseman of the Apocalypse, named Famine, will ride. Because the rise in grain and food prices, provoked by the sanctions war with Russia, will hit not only the population of African and Asian countries, but also poor Americans, and there are millions of them. And it will no longer be possible to sell “protection of Ukraine” as a pretext for all this.
Interestingly, events can begin to unfold if each state decides to ensure its own food security. Because in Texas, for example, everything will be just fine with both cereals and meat in the fall. But to what extent will food prices soar, for example, in New York ? And how will the states resolve all these issues among themselves?
So far, it looks like American voters will want to give the ruling party a whistle in November. However, with the colossal administrative resources that the Democrats use, their own difficulties may arise. They will announce a new lockdown under some pretext, they will lock everyone at home. There will be voting by mail, beloved by Democrats – and in fact, under it, in many states it is frankly forbidden to verify the authenticity of signatures of voters on forms. We have already seen enough of these falsifications, mother do not worry.
And Trump is not exactly sure of his success in 2024. His support among voters is constantly growing, but this alone is not enough: the last elections proved it. Therefore, Trump decided on a paradoxical move. All the last weeks, from the very beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, he has been showering compliments on the President of Russia. For this he has already been called an enemy of the American people and called to be judged for treason, but he still does not stop.
Trump directly called the decision of the Russian president to recognize the DPR and LPR “brilliant”. And having flattered, he suddenly asked Putin to share compromising evidence on Biden Jr., so that it would be easier for Trump to demolish Biden Sr. from the presidency.
It is amazing how quickly the glory of the world passes. How long has Washington carried out coups in different countries and placed its puppets there? And today the world sees with amazement how the US presidential candidate is flirting with the Kremlin, begging him for help and hinting in every way that it is time for the Russians to interfere in the American elections and shove him into the kingdom.
What happens, in parallel with the demilitarization of Ukraine, should we also deal with America, provide the Americans with a sane leader? Of course, everyone would like to see normal people working at the head of both the United States and Ukraine, who simply “understand what is happening.” At a minimum, they should not smash their country into the trash, jeopardize the global security system and climb into Russia. The question is, are there any such people at all?
And can Trump himself become such a sane leader? On the one hand, there is a bipartisan consensus on the issue of Russia in the United States: both Democrats and Republicans agree that our country is the main enemy of their “new world order” and must be crushed to the end. On the other hand, isolationists are quite influential among the Republicans, who believe that the States should quietly leave the world stage, stay out of the way and go about their own business. The cult Republican JD Vance, a soil activist and author of Hillbilly’s Elegy, the bible of American “quilted jackets”, has already stated that he is indifferent to Ukraine. Perhaps Trump will be able to lean on them in his presidential campaign.
Yes, today both Republicans and Democrats are competing in fierce swearing – who will yell at Russia more loudly, who will call louder to “bang”, “bang”, “hit” Moscow. However, another consensus is also working quietly, with both parties struggling to avoid a real confrontation with our country. Let the Ukrainians take the rap instead of us, they think, and we’d better get them more javelins.
When Trump is asked what “Trumpism” is and why he’s hit everyone like that, he says his politics are “best deals”. Unlike the completely distraught democratic elite, he understands that it is not profitable for the States to fight today – and with no one. It was Trump, during his presidency, who planned the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. And it was he who, after the first aggravation, gave back in the confrontation with North Korea.
There is a clear feeling that if Hillary Clinton came to power in 2016, she would set Ukraine against Russia, and the special operation would have to start much earlier. However, the decay and degradation of America’s political elite are proceeding at such a pace that even the once reasonable Trump, having come to power, may turn out to be the same senile politician as Joe Biden. And the point here is not in old age – but in the general atmosphere of savagery, in which America is losing its status as a world hegemon.
In the last election, we saw the Biden clan mound Beijing, and critics openly called Joe a “Chinese puppet.” Now unambiguous signals to Moscow are being sent by Donald Trump. Ukrainization of the United States is on the march – indeed, what kind of elections if the candidates are not trying to enlist the support of external forces? We remember how the Americans put Yatsenyuk as prime minister, and the Germans put Klitschko as the mayor of Kiev. Well, okay. Sovereignty? Nope, haven’t heard.
Today’s Washington is not a world center of power, but some kind of terrarium where local oligarchic clans fight for power, divide territory and rob people. They have long ceased to pretend that they believe in some nonsense like electoral democracy, freedom of speech. It’s all right, beads for the natives.
An intelligent politician who is really interested in the fate of the Americans can simply be destroyed here – in the same style as it is done in Ukraine. In particular, and therefore Donald Trump is afraid to officially announce his desire to participate in the elections.
