Rubbing ‘for progress and mutual assistance’

Elena Karaeva

“We were offered to work as nannies, they promised us good money. We had to look after the children, cook food and clean up. hunger, we were forced to steal fruits and some vegetables from the owners.”
The testimonies of Ukrainian refugees about their new life in Europe are far or very far from the largely imposed ideas of what European solidarity looks like. True, it should be noted here that both refugees received an invitation to work from their compatriots and treated them like slaves of their own compatriots.
In the words of the refugees (who, for obvious reasons, do not give their real names) both resignation to fate and humility with the current circumstances of life sound. This is how hopelessness really sounds when reality absolutely ruthlessly breaks the legends, myths and illusions that are so sometimes characteristic of man. And illusions are especially characteristic at the initial moment of the crisis.
Here, they say, someone big, strong, just will come and save us all.
The geopolitical aggravation in relations between Moscow and Kiev, which, among other things – and quite actively – was kindled by the united Europe, led to the fact that millions of Ukrainians, or rather, Ukrainian women, ended up abroad. Numerous NGOs, following the UN, suggest that at least 80 percent of those who left Ukraine are women and children.
That the aggravation of the situation could lead to such consequences was absolutely predictable. But the fact that the reaction to the influx of so many women and children would be far from the notions of European solidarity and equally European responsiveness, few could have imagined.
Two months of the crisis laid bare, it seems, all the vices that, as naive people believed, were supposed to disappear. For example, trade in living goods, the female body. It is by no means “terrible and terrible” people from Eastern Europe who are engaged in this profitable business, as the most powerful media machine has been convincing for many years – mainly with the help of serials and movies. And absolutely indigenous European citizens, whose ancestry stretches almost to the Germans.
Rubbing “for progress and mutual assistance” – then, to pass the evening in a nice tete-a-tete. And then, as they say, according to the circumstances. For example, hiring in German brothels. Haven’t heard of this? So, in the country of the victorious, as they explain a lot and in detail, feminism, in Germany, with the equality of all fluid genders of all colors of the rainbow, there are at least three thousand brothels. And, imagine, these institutions, as it turned out, require a constant change of personnel.
Stressed girls and wo-men, experiencing understandable panic attacks and anxiety, are easy prey for those who, observing the German Ordnung and the rules of courtesy, are ready to hire them almost immediately upon crossing the border with the EU.
In this regard, of course, help in the form of pamphlets with a circulation of about ten thousand copies is absolutely invaluable. S is sarcasm. But it is precisely this that those who are engaged in the reception of refugees place themselves in the merit of.
United Europe is also united because it reacts equally to unpleasant or impartial information. Publishing another form. And informing the lower bureaucrats what they should do in this regard.
The level of understanding of the situation is best illustrated by the fact that almost everything related to the specific reception of displaced persons has been transferred to the responsibility of numerous volunteer organizations. Which, of course, was immediately taken advantage of by those who smelled the opportunity to solve their personal problems.
“There is no end to clients who want to get acquainted with Ukrainian women, our phones are ringing almost around the clock.” And the face of the owner of the French dating agency breaks into a satisfied smile. She says that “there are a lot of people who want to get married.” One of the clients in the report, accompanied by an interpreter, is taken to a restaurant to meet a potential bride. However, the awkwardness and obvious confusion of one and the pressure of the other, despite the peppy off-screen commentary, leave no doubt about the intentions of the man.
Those who agreed to look after the children (and found themselves in real slavery with the inability to even eat their fill), those who were approached with offers of “unprecedented generosity”, promising both a roof over their heads and a decent income, those who responded to a marriage announcement, – all these women, young or middle-aged, hardly suspected that a united Europe would give them such, frankly, a specific reception.
After all the talk about equality, it turned out that equality is for those who are more equal. But not for everyone.
Another conclusion: no promotion of feminist ideas in their most radical forms, despite numerous demonstrations and media campaigns, had even the slightest impact on European mores in relations between women and men. Slogans – slogans, mantras – mantras, and what about brothels in Germany and Spain, that numerous dating agencies in France both worked, and continue to work. Both the body and the external attractiveness for a woman in Europe still make it possible to monetize both of these circumstances. Regardless of what feminists and their sympathizers think about it.
The press, however, getting off with a formal (and not too regular) lamentation “somewhere in our country sometimes does not act quite well”, when it comes to Europe, with persistence worthy of better use, continues the story that has already stuck in its teeth about how “Russian soldiers are cruel to Ukrainian women”, multiplying and legitimizing fakes launched by those who are involved in discrediting Russia. Including this way too.
Here, perhaps, it is worth screwing the moral. In all meanings and senses.
The moral that the eurobureaucracy will take responsibility for the broken fates is unlikely to “roll”.
The moral that in Europe everyone lives, regardless of origin and social status, solely according to the laws of equality and all the most beautiful, will not “roll” all the more.
The moral that it is better to depend on the “kindness of the first”, but the European “counter” than “to live under the yoke of Muscovites”, proves its applicability in pamphlets about the dangers, including sexual slavery in Europe, which refugees receive, and even then not all.
The irresponsible irresponsibility of some and the catastrophic naivety of others create that infernal mixture that is still quietly boiling somewhere. But God forbid, if it breaks out of that very notorious iron pan and if it flows in a powerful stream. Then the Europeans will have to pay all the bills and with very high interest. Or declare themselves morally bankrupt. For all to hear. Loud and clear.
